People have a significant belief about getting enlightened, that they are not enlightened. It’s a vicious cycle that keeps people from realizing that they are already enlightened.
Besides, people are willing to give up everything to get enlightened. We see people who have given up their jobs, their money, their families, their health and will give up everything to get enlightened. Give up speaking, give up sex, give up you call it they will give it up. At hand, simply one thing people will not give up is to get enlightened. They will do anything they know to hold on to this. They will not give up, no matter what. The only one thing people will not give up for the sake of getting enlightened is the idea that they’re not enlightened. That’s the big deceit, not anything else.
There’s no such thing as enlightenment to get. The more we do of that, the more we state that we aren’t enlightened. Oratory about enlightenment or thinking about enlightenment is not enlightenment. In the realm of enlightenment, we do not make a difference in what we know, we make a difference the way we know. There is a perception of the necessity of extensive training and struggle to get enlightened, and it is nothing more than a perception. We all experience enlightenment, but we give a miss.
Enlightenment takes no time. Although the practice is necessary, that each step is in the expression of enlightenment and self-realization. It takes practice, courage, and commitment to give up old ways of being. The more we practice, an early-warning system gets built, new conditions, self-realization, and new courses of action get established, and the outcome is extended in all directions and in our action. In the undilute sense, we are all enlightened right now, right here. We already got it. There’s nothing to get.
Where peace, practice, and enlightenment live are truly invented & live inside of us.
"The musk deer searches through the forest trees for the fragrance that will enchant and please. But all the while it searches, never knowing from its nature, the musk is blowing."
―Sant Kabir
The law of gravity makes gravity "consequent," similarly with nature's physical laws and further with integrity. Fundamentally, the above-mentioned operates regardless of whether one likes it or not. In such a light, we hold integrity, which has nothing to do with good vs. bad. And if we reflect for a period about gravity, there is no such thing as good or bad gravity. Like gravity, the integrity as aforementioned just 'consequent.'
The law of gravity and the law of integrity perform identically. If such an order is violated, it will lead to consequences. If one breaks the law of gravity, i.e., falling off with no safety device from a high waterfall or a tall-rise building, whether it is a good person or a bad one, the consequence will be equal. And if one violates the integrity of one's word, one is no longer whole and complete. Usually, we unrecognized the very high cost associated with it, without noticing, gradually over the extent, we erode the experience of the power and peace of mind that goes with being whole and complete with oneself. In such cases, rage replaces power, and intolerance, arrogance, and anger replace the peace of mind. The result of this process is that such intolerance, ignorance, and hatred obscure the awareness of any additional loss of self and performance.
Furthermore, honoring the laws of gravity or integrity has given humankind powerful access to deal with the consequences of the law, i.e.
The impact of honoring the law of gravity, the consequences of that alike creating extraordinary results, i.e., aircraft, rockets, and beyond.
The impact of honoring one’s word, as defined aforementioned integrity―consequences of that creating for ourselves the inescapable trust of others. When others know that we honor our word, they cannot help but trust our word. We represent a person of integrity.
